Description

Gnome spice is a cooking ingredient in Old School RuneScape. It is Aluft Gianne's secret mix of spices. Players use it to make spicy sauce and many gnome foods.

Gnome spice is not used up when you cook gnome foods. One jar lasts forever for dishes like fruit batta, toad batta, worm batta, tangled toad's legs, veg ball, worm hole, chocchip crunchies, spicy crunchies, toad crunchies, worm crunchies, spicy maggots, spiced minced meat, and spicy tomato. This makes it a handy item to keep for gnome cooking training.

Spicy sauce works in a different way. To make it, you mix gnome spice with chopped garlic. This does use up the gnome spice, so you need a new one each time.

Gnome spice can also be placed in the nest on top of Aldarin Mill. If you relog with the spice inside the nest, you get an iron pickaxe.

In the game, gnome spice is sold at Grand Tree Groceries, a shop run by Hudo in the Grand Tree. It is a members item. It is tradeable, cannot be equipped, and does not stack. Its item ID is 2169.
