Description

Jute seeds are Farming seeds in Old School RuneScape. You plant them in a hops patch at level 13 Farming. Each patch needs 3 seeds. The plant takes 50 minutes to grow. Planting gives 13 XP and each harvest gives 14.5 XP.

When the plant is fully grown, you harvest jute fibres. These fibres are useful for Crafting. You can weave them into empty sacks or drift nets with a loom. You can also use 10 jute fibres to pay a farmer to protect sweetcorn.

A gardener near the hops patch will watch over your growing jute if you pay 6 barley malt, which can be noted. Using compost lowers the chance of disease and boosts your yield. Magic secateurs and an attas plant in the anima patch can help you get more fibres per harvest.

Planting jute seeds is also a task in the easy Kandarin Diary. This makes them a handy seed for players working on diary completion or training Farming and Crafting at low levels.
