Description

The mixed hide base is a crafting material in Old School RuneScape. It is a members item used to make mixed hide armour. Players use a needle on the base to craft each piece of the set. A full set of mixed hide armour needs four bases, one for each piece.

Each armour piece needs a base plus fur. The mixed hide cape needs level 68 Crafting and one jaguar fur. The boots need level 69 Crafting and one sunlight antelope fur. The legs need level 71 Crafting and three fox fur. The top needs level 72 Crafting and two sunlight antelope furs. Crafting these pieces also gives Crafting XP, from 62 XP for the cape up to 210 XP for the legs.

Mixed hide armour is worth making. The mixed hide top needs level 60 Ranged and 50 Defence to wear. It is the only chestpiece with a stab attack bonus, so it works well against high defence enemies weak to stab. It also gives a +27 Ranged attack bonus and a +2 strength bonus.

The mixed hide base is tradeable and weighs 1 kg. It is not stackable and cannot be worn.
