Description

Opal dragon bolts (e) are enchanted crossbow bolts in Old School RuneScape. They are made by casting the Enchant Crossbow Bolt (Opal) spell on opal dragon bolts. The spell needs level 4 Magic and enchants 10 bolts at a time using 1 cosmic rune and 2 air runes.

These bolts have a special effect called Lucky Lightning. It has a 5% chance to activate. When it does, a lightning bolt strikes your target and deals extra damage equal to 10% of your visible Ranged level. At 112 Ranged, that is 11 extra damage. If you have finished the hard Kandarin Diary, the chance rises to 5.5%. The effect can activate even if your attack fails its accuracy roll.

You need a Dragon crossbow or better to fire these bolts, along with 64 Ranged to wield the crossbow ammo. The bolts have a ranged strength bonus of +122 and weigh nothing.

Opal dragon bolts (e) are a members-only item. They are tradeable, equipable, and stackable, so you can carry a large amount in one inventory slot. They are a stronger version of regular enchanted opal bolts and give ranged players cheap extra damage.
