Description

Ruby dragon bolts (e) are ruby dragon bolts with the Enchant Crossbow Bolt (Ruby) spell added. The spell needs level 49 Magic. Each cast enchants 10 bolts and uses 1 cosmic rune, 1 blood rune, and 5 fire runes. The bolts need a Dragon crossbow or better. They are members-only, tradeable, stackable, and have a ranged strength bonus of +122.

These bolts have a special effect called Blood Forfeit. It has a chance to remove 20% of the target's current Hitpoints, capped at 100 damage. It costs 10% of your current Hitpoints. The effect will not fire if you cannot spare the Hitpoints. A long shriek plays when it works.

Blood Forfeit shines against high-Hitpoint targets like Vorkath, Nex, Kree'arra, and Commander Zilyana. The effect can roll even if the attack would miss. It has an 11% chance in PvP and 6% in PvM. The Hard Kandarin Diary raises these to 12.1% and 12.1% becomes the PvP rate, with 6.6% in PvM. With the Zaryte crossbow special attack, the effect always activates and can hit up to 110.
