Description

Rune nails are the second strongest type of nail in Old School RuneScape. They are stackable, tradeable, and weigh nothing, so they are easy to carry in bulk. This is a members-only item.

Rune nails have many uses in skilling. With 56 Construction, five rune nails and two mahogany planks can repair broken bridges in the Hallowed Sepulchre. Each repair gives 700 Construction experience. With 77 Fletching, you can add them to flighted ogre arrows to make rune brutal arrows for 12.5 Fletching experience per arrow. With 83 Crafting, fifteen rune nails combine with a redwood shield and two pieces of black dragon leather to make a black d'hide shield, giving 172 Crafting experience.

Rune nails can also build certain wooden furniture, and they rarely break. They are needed for Shipbuilding components at the Runite and Ironwood tier.

Making them yourself takes 89 Smithing. One runite bar on an anvil gives 15 rune nails and 75 Smithing experience. Buying rune nails skips that grind and gets you straight to training Construction, Fletching, or Crafting.
