Description

Splitbark gauntlets are a piece of splitbark armour in Old School RuneScape. They go in the hands slot. You need 40 Magic and 40 Defence to wear them.

These gauntlets are a solid pick for mages. They give a +2 magic attack bonus, so your spells hit more often. They also add defence with +3 stab, +2 slash, +4 crush, and +2 magic. The only downside is a small -1 ranged attack bonus. They are light too, at just 0.9 kg.

Splitbark gauntlets can also be upgraded. With 77 Magic and 100 blood runes, they become bloodbark gauntlets. With 42 Magic and 100 nature runes, they become swampbark gauntlets. This makes them a good base item to keep for later.

In the game, players can make them with 60 Crafting using a needle and thread on fine cloth and bark. They can also be made by Wizard Jalarast at the Wizards' Tower for bark, fine cloth, and 1,000 coins. Magpie implings and ninja implings drop them too. You can store them in a magic wardrobe in a player-owned house.
