Description

Swamp weed is a plant found in the caves near Dorgesh-Kaan in Old School RuneScape. It is a Members-only item. It weighs 0.2 kg and does not stack in your inventory.

Swamp weed has some handy uses. Cook it on a range to make soda ash, which is used in glassmaking. You can also use it with the Superglass Make spell at Magic level 77. Combine it with 13 buckets of sand, 2 Astral runes, 6 Fire runes, and 10 Air runes. This makes an average of 16.9 molten glass and gives 130 Magic XP and 78 Crafting XP. The Dorgeshuun cave goblins also cook with it. It wraps around raw cave eel or raw slimy eel to make eel sushi.

In the game, swamp weed drops from two Slayer monsters in the Dorgesh-Kaan South Dungeon. Cave bugs and Molanisks both drop 1 to 8 swamp weeds. Players can also catch it with a small fishing net at Fishing level 33 in the Lumbridge Swamp Caves. No bait is needed, and each catch gives 1 Fishing XP.
