Description

The Uncharged trident (e) is a one-handed powered staff in Old School RuneScape. It is an enhanced version of the trident of the seas. Players get it by giving Lieve McCracken 10 kraken tentacles and an uncharged trident. It requires 75 Magic to wield.

This trident holds up to 20,000 charges. That is much more than the 2,500 charges of the normal version. Each charge needs 1 death rune, 1 chaos rune, 5 fire runes, and 10 coins. Charging requires level 75 Magic. Charges can be removed to get the runes back, but not the coins.

When charged, the staff has a +15 magic attack bonus and a +15 magic defence bonus. It attacks every 2.4 seconds. Its max hit starts at 20 with level 75 Magic and grows by one for every three Magic levels.

Players with 59 Crafting can attach a magic fang with a chisel to make a trident of the swamp (e). That upgrade adds a venom effect and a stronger magic bonus, but it uses Zulrah's scales for charges instead of coins. This staff is a strong choice for magic training and kraken fans.
