Description
Aerated sediment is a type of soil in RuneScape 3. It comes from digging at the Stormguard Citadel Dig Site, which needs level 70 Archaeology. It is a members item and it is tradeable.
Players screen this soil at the screening station in the Archaeology Campus. Screening gives Archaeology experience and a chance at materials or rare artefacts from the dig site. Materials include Stormguard steel, Third Age iron, White oak, Wings of War, Goldrune, Samite silk, Aetherium alloy, Orthenglass, Quintessence, Soapstone, and more. Artefacts have a 1 in 1,000 chance when a screen works.
Experience per screen grows with your level. It starts at 3 XP at level 70 and rises to 20 XP at level 111 and above. Screening is a low intensity way to train, so many players use it for easy Archaeology XP.
Aerated sediment is not stackable, but an archaeological soil box can hold up to 500 of it to save space. The soil can also be used to make an Archaeology potion (3) and a Cup of soil tea. Buy aerated sediment to skip the digging and start screening right away.
