Description
The alchemist's key is a members-only tradeable item in RuneScape 3. It opens the alchemist's chest in Senntisten. The chest sits in a house just west of the pulley that players use to enter the city.
Each key opens the chest one time and gives one reward from a loot table. The average reward is worth 15,777 coins. Rewards include grimy herbs, herb seeds, hydrix and onyx bolt tips, ashes, dragon scale dust, mud runes, wines, and more. On a very rare roll, the chest can give 150 onyx dust. Rewards can be banked right away, taken noted or unnoted, or left behind.
In the game, the key drops from enemies at the TzekHaar Front and in the Zamorakian Undercity. Drop sources include TzKal-Zuk, TzekHaar creatures, Zamorakian cultists, chaos witches, greater demons, hellhounds, and dark wizards. With a key from Chicks Gold, players can skip that grind and open the chest right away.
The key is not equipable and does not stack, but it can be noted. It can also be disassembled, though it mostly gives simple parts with a high junk chance. The item was added to the game on 25 October 2021.
