Dragon scale dust is a members-only Herblore ingredient in RuneScape 3. It is made by grinding a blue dragon scale with a pestle and mortar, which gives 1 Herblore experience. Players with level 85 Magic can use the Telekinetic Grind spell to grind 28 scales at once. This gives 28 Herblore experience and 89 Magic experience.
The dust is a key secondary ingredient for two useful potions. At level 60 Herblore, mix it with a clean kwuarm to make weapon poison. At level 69 Herblore, mix it with a clean lantadyme to make antifire potions, which help players fight dragons.
Dragon scale dust is tradeable and noteable, and it stacks when noted. It weighs only 0.007 kg. It can also be disassembled for Simple parts, with a small chance of Variable components.
Players normally get this dust by pickpocketing Meilyr workers, looting the Alchemist's chest, or fighting enemies in The Zamorakian Undercity. It also drops from Zemouregal and Vorkath. Buying dragon scale dust saves time spent grinding scales by hand, so players can jump straight into training Herblore or stocking up on potions.
