Description
The Apex hide vambraces + 3 are ranged tank armour for the hands slot in RuneScape 3. This is a members item. The base vambraces are tier 85 and never degrade. The + 3 upgrade raises them three tiers, so they sit at tier 88. You can upgrade them two more times with apex leather to reach the max of tier 90.
These vambraces are built for defence. The base version gives 108.9 armour, a 425 life point bonus, and 1.98% PvM damage reduction. Upgrades push the armour rating higher, up to 122.9 at tier 90. They add no damage, so they fit best when you want to stay alive against hard ranged and magic hits.
Making these gloves takes work. Crafting the base pair needs level 100 Crafting, 1 apex leather, 1 apex sinew, and 1 steel studs. Each upgrade after that needs more apex leather, and the cost doubles each time. Getting a + 3 pair skips all that grinding.
The vambraces weigh 0.453 kg and match the rest of the apex hide set, which includes a cowl, top, chaps, and boots.
