Apex leather is a members-only Crafting material in RuneScape 3. It is made by tanning apex hide, which comes from Big Game Hunter encounters in Havenhythe. The leather is tradeable, stackable, and weighs nothing, so it is easy to keep in your bank or inventory.

Players use apex leather to craft apex hide armour at level 100 Crafting. This is tier 85 to tier 90 ranged tank armour. The set has five pieces: cowl, body, chaps, vambraces, and boots. Each piece can be upgraded from the base version up to +5 at a pattern table. The armour does not degrade, so it never needs repairs from combat use.

You need a lot of leather to make a full set. A complete +5 set takes 384 apex leather, plus apex sinew, steel studs, a steel bar, and thread.
