Description

Bat bones are a type of bone in RuneScape 3. They drop from bats and giant bats. When buried, they give 5.3 Prayer experience. That is 17% more than normal bones, which give 4.5 experience.

There are better ways to use them. Offering bat bones at a gilded or chaos altar gives 18.6 experience. The Ectofuntus gives 21.2 experience. Using them on a Prayer altar in Daemonheim gives 21.5 experience, four times the amount from burying. Cremation gives 13.3 Prayer experience plus 10.6 Firemaking experience.

Members need bat bones for some quests. These include Merlin's Crystal, Watchtower, Forgettable Tale of a Drunken Dwarf, and some City Quests in Menaphos. In Merlin's Crystal, a set of bat bones is dropped on a pentagram to summon and defeat Thrantax.

Bat bones can be ground with a pestle and mortar or the Telekinetic Grind spell. Ground bat bones are used to make Ogre potions and Magic ogre potions. The bones also work with the Bones to Bananas and Bones to Peaches spells. They are tradeable, noteable, and weigh 0.3 kg. Disassembly gives mostly organic parts with a small chance of pious components.
