The Black stone heart is a members-only item in RuneScape 3. It drops from monsters in the Shadow Reef elite dungeon, such as Taraket the Necromancer, The Ambassador, and the Crassian Leviathan. It is also a reward from the Zemouregal and Vorkath fight. The item is stackable, tradeable, and weighs nothing, so it is easy to hold in bulk.
Black stone hearts have many uses. Players with level 88 Invention can make ability codices at the Inventor's workbench. The Demon Slayer, Dragon Slayer, and Undead Slayer codices each need 100 hearts, 2 onyx, and 60 special components. Hearts are also used to overcharge the ring of death, which takes 25 hearts and 5 onyx.
They matter for high-level gear too. Elite sirenic and elite tectonic repair patches each use 2 hearts along with other materials at level 91. Ten hearts go into a dark ice shard or dark ice sliver when mixed with Glacor remnants, dark nilas, and glorious bars.
