The cave nightshade seed is a Farming seed in RuneScape 3. It grows into cave nightshade, a plant used in Herblore. You need level 63 Farming to plant it. The seed only fits in the nightshade patch, which is at Draynor Manor.

Planting the seed gives 91 Farming experience. Picking the grown plant gives 512 experience. The plant takes 5 hours and 20 minutes to grow. Each patch takes one seed, and each harvest gives one nightshade. You get at least 3 harvest lives, and better compost adds more.

Wear gloves when you pick the nightshade. If your hands are bare, you will take 20 poison damage and fail to harvest. Some fancy gloves do not count, so use real protective gloves or gauntlets.

Cave nightshade is the key ingredient for weapon poison++ potions. At level 82 Herblore, mix it with coconut milk to make the unfinished potion. This makes the seed a solid pick for players who train Herblore or want strong weapon poison.
