Description
The elder arrow shaft is a members-only item in RuneScape 3. It is a special arrow shaft cut from elder logs. Players need level 90 Fletching and a knife to make them. One elder log gives 15 shafts and 20 Fletching experience.
Elder arrow shafts are the first step toward black stone arrows. To move forward, players attach 15 feathers to 15 shafts. This makes elder headless arrows and gives 15 Fletching experience. Many kinds of feathers work, such as regular, stripy, orange, blue, yellow, red, or wimpy feathers. Black stone arrow tips cannot go on the shafts without feathers first.
These shafts are stackable and tradeable, and they weigh nothing. That makes them easy to hold in large amounts. The Grand Exchange buy limit is 25,000. Players who train Invention can also disassemble them. Each shaft gives 0.1 disassembly experience and can yield Simple parts or, rarely, Variable components.
Buying elder arrow shafts in bulk saves time. Players skip cutting logs and jump right into making headless arrows. This is a fast way to train Fletching or to stock up for crafting black stone arrows.
