Description
Ground seaweed is a members item in RuneScape 3. It is made by crushing seaweed with a pestle and mortar. Making it needs only level 1 Cooking and gives 1 Cooking experience each time. Each grind takes just 1 game tick, which is 0.6 seconds.
The main use for ground seaweed is fish food. Combine it with ground guam in an empty fish food box to make food for pet fish. It can also be added to an empty fish food box on its own to make seaweed-in-a-box, or mixed with a guam-in-a-box to finish the fish food.
Players with high Magic can make it faster. The Telekinetic Grind spell needs level 85 Magic and level 1 Cooking. It grinds 28 seaweed at once using 2 astral runes and 1 law rune, and gives 89 Magic experience plus 28 Cooking experience.
Ground seaweed is tradeable and noteable, so it is easy to buy, sell, and store. It can also be disassembled for Invention. The item weighs 0.056 kg and was added to the game on 24 October 2005. It is a simple item, but it is the key step in feeding pet fish.
