Description
The RS3 Jute seed is a hops patch seed in RuneScape 3. Players need level 13 Farming to plant it. Each planting uses 3 seeds. Once grown, the plants give jute fibres, which can be woven into sacks on a loom.
Jute takes 50 minutes to grow, split into 5 stages of 10 minutes each. The patch has 3 harvest lives, and each harvest gives 1 jute fibre. Higher tiers of compost add more harvest lives. Planting gives 13 Farming XP, and each fibre picked gives 14.5 XP.
A nearby gardener will protect the growing jute for 6 handfuls of barley malt. The tree farmer outfit drops the cost to 5, and the master farmer outfit drops it to 4. Magic secateurs raise the chance to harvest a fibre without losing a harvest life.
Planting Jute seeds also counts as an easy Seers' Village task. There is a small chance, 1 in 32, to get harmony moss while harvesting. This seed is a simple pick for players training low level Farming or gathering fibres for sacks.
