Description

The leaping salmon is a fish in RuneScape 3 that comes from Barbarian Fishing. Catching it needs level 58 Fishing, level 30 Strength, and level 30 Agility. It is caught at Otto's Grotto with a barbarian rod and feathers or fishing bait after starting Barbarian Fishing. Each catch gives 70 Fishing experience, 6 Strength experience, and 6 Agility experience.

This fish cannot be cooked. Instead, players cut it open with a knife for 10 Cooking experience. Cutting it always gives roe and may also give fish offcuts. Both roe and offcuts work as fishing bait. With good Cooking skill and smart cutting, a player can keep an endless supply of bait going.

The leaping salmon is tradeable and noteable. It weighs 0.5 kg and can be added to player owned farm troughs. It can also be disassembled, giving simple parts most of the time and variable components on rare cuts.
