The opal amulet is a members-only item in RuneScape 3. It is made by stringing an unstrung opal amulet with a ball of wool. Players can wear it, trade it, note it, or break it down. It is very light at 0.007 kg and has no combat requirements. It gives no damage, accuracy, armour, or prayer bonuses.
The main reason players want this amulet is enchanting. Casting the Lvl-1 Enchant spell on it makes an amulet of bountiful harvest. The spell needs one cosmic rune and one water rune and gives 17.5 Magic experience. An Lvl-1 enchant tablet also works and needs no skill at all.
The amulet is also good for training. Stringing one by hand needs level 27 Crafting and gives 4 experience. The String Jewellery spell needs level 80 Magic and gives 83 Magic experience per amulet. Crafting one from scratch with a silver bar, an opal, and a ball of wool gives 19 Crafting experience.
Players who use Invention can disassemble the amulet for 8.1 experience and 5 materials. Possible drops include delicate parts, smooth parts, connector parts, precious components, and enhancing components.
