Description

Raw beltfish is a fish in RuneScape 3. Players catch it with level 72 Fishing at the fishing spots in Menaphos, using a fishing rod and fishing bait. Each catch gives 92 Fishing experience and 5.6 reputation for your active faction. One raw beltfish must be caught during the Crocodile Tears quest.

With level 72 Cooking, you can cook raw beltfish into a beltfish. Cooking gives 165 experience on a fire or 180 on a range. The cooked fish heals up to 1,650 life points, which is more than a monkfish. This makes it a strong mid-level food for combat and training.

Raw beltfish is tradeable, noteable, and can be disassembled. It weighs 0.5 kg. When taken apart, it most often gives Organic parts, with small chances for Crafted parts, Enhancing components, Healthy components, and Living components. Each catch also has a 1 in 1,000 chance to give a slimy egg, which unlocks the Squeck pet.
