Description
The uncut red topaz is a semi-precious gem in RuneScape 3. Players use it to train the Crafting skill. You need level 16 Crafting to cut it with a chisel. A good cut gives 25 Crafting experience. There is a chance to crush the gem instead, which gives only 6.3 experience. The chance to fail drops as your Crafting level goes up. It stops completely at level 50.
A cut red topaz has many uses. You can cut it into red topaz bolt tips to make red topaz bolts. You can also craft it into topaz jewellery, which can be enchanted for special abilities. The gem is used to make a red topaz machete. This machete completes the medium Karamja achievement called That's Not a Knife.
Cut red topaz can be sold to Gabooty's Tai Bwo Wannai Cooperative for 60 trading sticks. The uncut gem sells there for 12.
This gem is light at only 0.003 kg. It is tradeable and noteable, and it can be disassembled. It cannot be equipped or stacked. Uncut red topaz is a handy gem for Crafting training and Karamja goals.
