The RS3 Yew seed is a high level tree seed in RuneScape 3. It is the second best seed you can plant in a standard tree patch. Only magic seeds rank higher. You need level 60 Farming to plant one, and boosts are allowed.
To grow it, plant the seed in a plant pot with soil. It sprouts into a sapling. Then plant the sapling in a tree patch. The tree takes 6 hours and 40 minutes to fully grow. You get 81 Farming experience for planting and 7,069.9 more for checking its health. That is 7,150.9 experience per seed.
A grown yew tree gives yew logs and Woodcutting experience at level 70. You can dig up the stump with a spade to get yew roots. A farmer will protect the tree from disease for 10 cactus spines. Fewer spines are needed with the tree farmer or master farmer outfit.
Yew seeds also count toward a Hard Falador achievement. Cut down a yew tree you grew in Falador Park to complete it. This seed is a solid pick for players training Farming past level 60.
