Description
The bane platebody is tier 75 melee body armour in RuneScape 3. You need level 80 Defence to wear it. It sits in the body slot and works as tank armour for melee fighters.
The base version gives 389.6 armour and a 1,125 life points bonus. It also cuts damage you take, with 1.5% less damage from monsters and 4.5% less in PvP. It has no prayer bonus. The armour degrades over 10,000 charges of combat and can be repaired with coins, at an armour stand, on a whetstone, or at an anvil with bane bars.
Players with level 80 Smithing can make this platebody at a forge and anvil using 5 bane bars. It can then be upgraded four times with more bars. The bane platebody + 4 reaches tier 79, with 431.4 armour, a 1,185 life points bonus, and 50,000 charges before it needs repair.
The platebody pairs with the bane full helm, bane platelegs, and bane square shield to form a full banite armour set. It is a members only item, and it is tradeable, noteable, and can be disassembled for parts.
