Description

The sweet potato is a members-only item in RuneScape 3. It is a mega produce version of a raw potato. The examine text calls it a deliciously sweet potato. It is tradeable but not stackable, and it weighs 0.5 kg.

Players grow sweet potatoes from regular potato seeds in allotment patches. To get one, a player drinks a dose of harvest potion. Then they harvest a fully grown raw potato patch within 6 minutes. While the potion is active, sweet potatoes are harvested instead of regular potatoes. Only level 1 Farming is needed to obtain one. Sweet potatoes can also be sent to the bank with signs of the porter.

The main use for a sweet potato is cooking. It is one of the four parts needed to make a primal starter, along with cannonball cabbage, rainbow sweetcorn, and raw oculi apoterrasaur meat. Making a primal starter needs level 99 Cooking and gives 800 Cooking experience. The primal starter is then used to make a primal feast.

A sweet potato is a good pick for players training high-level Cooking or making primal feasts without spending time on farming runs.
