Description

The Apex hide armour set is a full set of ranged tank armour in RuneScape 3. The set has five pieces: a cowl, a body, chaps, vambraces, and boots. It is a members item and is tradeable on the Grand Exchange.

Apex hide armour is tier 85 to tier 90 gear. It comes in six versions, from the base set up to +5. The base set gives 1633.4 armour and 4250 life points. The +5 set gives 1843.4 armour and 4500 life points. The armour does not degrade, so it never needs repairs. It cannot be augmented.

This armour is made with the tailoring process at level 100 Crafting. It uses apex leather, which comes from Big Game Hunter in Havenhythe. A full base set takes 12 apex leather and 12 apex sinew, plus steel studs, a steel bar, and thread.

The set item holds all five pieces in one slot. It can be split back into its parts at the Grand Exchange. Apex hide armour was added to the game on 23 March 2026 with the Havenhythe continent release. It is a strong pick for rangers who want tanky gear with no upkeep.
